Enciong’s educational background in Agronomy allows him to provide assistance to coconut farmers in Misamis Oriental. He introduced intercropping to the farmers, which presented an additional income stream from high-value crops. He likewise manages a processing center for virgin coconut oil (VCO) in Gingoog City. The farmers supply the center with nuts to produce premium VCO in commercial quantities.
After graduating from Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro City, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy, Major in Animal Husbandry and Minor in Agronomy, Enciong moved on to apply his knowledge and expertise in various NGOs and social enterprises. Some of these include the National Agribusiness Development Center Foundation, Inc., Cagayan-Iligan Corridor-Special Development Project, Xavier Science Foundation, Inc. and ACORD Foundation.
God and family hold the highest regard for Enciong, which is why Sunday is the most important day of the week for him. He devotes Sundays for church, and being with his family at home.
